Update of Exploration on the Coppercorp Project
December 13, 2004

Nikos Explorations Ltd. (NIK:TSX-V) announces results of its recent exploration program on the Coppercorp Property. Regional scale geological mapping and sampling was completed over an area covering the regional magnetic high (RMH), an airbourne magnetic anomaly covering approximately 3 kilometres by 3 kilometres.

Copper values up to 2.12% with anomalous gold and silver occur in mineralized basalts in the RMH area. Two samples collected to the west of the past-producing Coppercorp mine, (21104 and 21105) contained greater than 2% copper with up to 43.6 g/tonne silver and 0.6 g/tonne gold. Sample 21105 also contained 1.38% lead and 2.68% zinc. Copper mineralization, consisting mainly of malachite with lesser chalcocite and chalcopyrite, is hosted by variably altered massive and vesicular basalt and is often
associated with specular hematite. Epidote and calcite are the main alteration minerals, with potassium feldspar and chlorite being locally abundant.

Highlights of the analyses are summarized below, and a map showing the distribution of
samples collected during regional mapping on the property can be seen at

All samples were analyzed by ICP-OES at Activation Laboratories of Ancaster. Samples greater
than 0.5% copper are being re-assayed by atomic absorption.

An induced polarization and magnetic survey is currently being completed over the Beaver Pond area to the southeast of the Coppercorp mine site. Analyses of mineralized basalt and vein breccia from this area, reported in a 19 July 2004 news release, assayed up to 1.6% copper over 1.0 metre and 2.84% copper over 0.5 metres. Results from the geophysical survey will be used, together with geological information, to plan a drill program for the area in early 2005.

Roger Moss, Ph.D., P.Geo. supervised the sampling reported in this release and is the qualified person for the project.

Robert Cross has resigned from the board of directors of Nikos. The board thanks Mr. Cross for his support and guidance and wishes him well in future ventures.

Nikos Explorations Ltd. is an exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of copper-gold projects in the Americas and is currently exploring three Ontario properties for their iron-oxide copper gold potential.
