Nikos Explorations Ltd. (NIK: TSX-V) has received the results of induced polarization/resistivity and ground magnetic surveys undertaken over a portion of the Coppercorp property north of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The surveys were conducted in the Beaver Pond area, where mapping and sampling during 2004 identified copper mineralization grading up to 6.33% copper in mafic volcanic rocks close to the contact with overlying conglomerate (See News Release dated 19 July, 2004). 

A strong chargeability anomaly extends over the 1km length of the grid and trends in a northwest-southeast direction sub-parallel to the regional stratigraphy and remains open to the southeast. This anomaly appears to be an extension of a 500 metre long coincident chargeability and copper in soil anomaly on the neighbouring Silver Creek South grid. The chargeability anomalies lie on the western flank of a 5km long magnetic lineament (the “mine trend” lineament), along which 22 surface samples have assayed more than 1% copper. A drill program is currently being planned to test the chargeability anomalies and is expected to get underway in early April. This will be the first drill program in the vicinity of the Coppercorp Mine in over 30 years.

The company also announces that it has granted options to purchase 2,400,000 common shares of the company at $0.23 for a period of five years to directors, officers and a consultant. The grant of options is subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval.
