Nikos Explorations Ltd. (NIK: TSX-V) announces that it has received the first core from the diamond drilling currently underway on the Coppercorp copper-gold-silver property. The program consists of at least 1,500 metres to be drilled in a minimum of eight holes. It is designed to follow up on the positive results of the spring drilling program and to test new targets elsewhere on the property.

The initial drilling program completed during April intersected copper mineralization in five of the six holes drilled. Highlights of the program include:

1.62% Cu and 5.3g/tonne Ag over 17.8 metres in Hole CP-05-05 and 11.96% Cu, 101g/tonne Ag and
1.12g/tonne Au over 1.18 metres in Hole CP-05-03.

A minimum of four holes are planned to test these intersections along strike and down dip during the current program.

Targets that will be tested elsewhere on the property include:

1. a high chargeability anomaly coincident with copper mineralization hosted by altered basalt in the vicinity of the Copper Creek zone;
2. a coincident high chargeability and magnetic anomaly;
3. a discrete gravity anomaly with coincident surface mineralization that may represent an extension of the Silver Creek Zone.

All of these targets are located along a northwest trending magnetic lineament, known as the Mine Trend lineament that extends for five kilometres across the width of the Coppercorp property. Several copper occurrences are located along the lineament and 22 surface samples collected during reconnaissance mapping contained more than 1% copper.
