Nikos Explorations Ltd. (“Nikos”) (NIK: TSX-V) announced today that Mr. Jeff Giesbrecht has resigned from the board of directors of Nikos. The board thanks Mr. Giesbrecht for his support and guidance over the last two years and wishes him well in future ventures.

Nikos is also pleased to announce that Michael J. Kuta has been appointed to the board of directors of Nikos. Mr. Kuta is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Amerigo Resources Ltd., a Canadian copper and molybdenum producing company with operations near Santiago, Chile, and of Spur Ventures Inc., an integrated fertilizer manufacturing company with operations in China. Mr. Kuta has more than 20 years experience in corporate, commercial and tax law, both in private practice and with public and private corporations. Mr. Kuta was an associate lawyer with Thorsteinssons and Vice-President, Law for both the Loewen Group Inc. and InsulPro Industries Inc. Mr. Kuta has an HBA from the University of Western Ontario and an LLB from the University of British Columbia.
